About Signal Ventures’ Founder, Bob Maccini
Robert J. Maccini is a seasoned angel investor and media-tech entrepreneur based in Rhode Island. With a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross (1981) and an MBA from Babson College (1983), he has built a distinguished career launching and growing companies in media, broadcasting, analytics and telecommunications infrastructure.
Maccini began his career as a commercial lending officer providing financing to the communications industry and then established an investment banking practice specializing in the broadcasting industry. He has owned and operating a group of radio station, served on the board of a publicly traded radio company and has sold and appraised radio stations with a value exceeding $3 Billion. Maccini has been recognized by federal and state courts as an expert in broadcasting related matters and has been appointed as a receiver, examiner and restructuring agent.
